I recently gave a presentation and one of the attendees said, “Bloggers have the most perfect lives. I want to get free clothes and have pretty photos taken!” Girlfriend, we don’t have the most perfect lives. This post is dedicated to all of my weaknesses and the naked truth. There is something refreshing about realizing your downfalls. I’m owning them and of course improving daily.
By no means do I mean to degrade myself. I love who I am, but I know my challenges. The purpose is to show all of you, that life is NOT perfect. The photos may look pretty but sometimes life isn’t.
Things that may not show up in my photos:
- I’m tired all the freaking time
- I hate the gym
- I drink too much Diet Coke
- I compare myself to others
- I had thyroid cancer. The side effects still suck
- I can’t sleep alone
- I eat way too much sugar
- I’m putting my husband through school
- I work 8-5, then blog at night
- I bite my nails
I never give up. I may have hiccups and cry my eyes out, but I always come out better for it. For those who think our lives are perfect, remember we’re human.
One of the happiest moments in life is when you find the courage to let go of what you can’t change.
Be different. I love you all! XOXO,
