Fall is officially here! Bring out the booties, jackets and denim. This girl is ready for her favorite season of the year! Are you ready for the crisp air and pumpkin spice everything but not quite sure how to start with your wardrobe? Let me help…
Living in the desert has definitely changed my perception on seasons. I visited my family in northern Utah this past week and how I miss the cool mountain air. St. George is still 90 degrees on a good day. 🙂 Regardless, indoors is a brisk 68 degrees so all is well.
Transitioning seasons can be overwhelming, especially for your wallet. Do not stress my dear, help is on the way! All you need is a few staple pieces to update an outfit and add that fall flare. Here’s how I do it:
- Add a jacket – this seems obvious, but adding a jacket to a cute summer dress not only keeps you warm, but allows you to layer during the warmer months. Here are some of my favorites from Wilsons Leather! (All linked through the image)
2. Sprinkle in earth tones – follow the season! With the changing of the leaves comes brown and gray tones, pumpkin orange, mustard and my favorite burgundy. Coordinate your outfit with a hint of fall with a burgundy lip color, brown bootie or pumpkin spice hand bag. 🙂
3. Denim – with colder temperatures, denim is a must. Who doesn’t love a good pair of jeans anyway? Mix and match your old summer top with a new pair of crops, skinnies, flares or overalls.
See easy peasy! Plus it’s Friday! Thank you to all who sent a text or called me after surgery. All is well! I’m feeling much better and am a week into recovery. I should be able to start doing more as the week progresses.
Here’s to fall, the weekend and good friends! 🙂
