The metallic skirt is one of this year’s hottest trends. Let’s kick 2017 off right by learning how to style it! Glam it up or grunge it down for any occasion. Here’s to you! Where did 2016 go?! It’s been one for the books for travel, blogging and life! I’ve been fortunate to visit a lot of the U.S. and experience different lifestyles. Wowza! Now it’s time for new resolutions, style tips and travel plans!
Style Tip #1: Create a Waist
Don’t be intimidated by the pleat. I hear so many girls say, “I will never wear that because pleats make you look wider.” Nope, it’s all in the styling ladies! With a full midi skirt like this pleated metallic skirt, wear something more form fitting on top. This creates a waist and figure.
Style Tip #2: Hard & Soft
Mix in hard and soft. I love to add some rocker vibes with this simple black leather jacket and leather boots. The outfit is perfect for the office or going out on the town. I wear it for both!
Style Tip #3: Accessorize
Glam up your look by adding a little sparkle that compliments the metallic skirt. This cross body from Nine West is a “going out” staple. It fits my keys, phone, pink lip gloss and credit cards. #winwinwin

Not only do I try to look my best, but I love a good challenge. The New Year always gives me new motivation to achieve new goals. Just for fun, I thought I’d share my New Year’s resolutions with you! What are you resolutions this year?
Resolution #1: Travel Abroad
I’m fortunate enough to be able to travel for work. This year we’re scheduled to tour San Francisco, Orlando (hello freaking Harry Potter world – anyone have a wand I can borrow), Washington DC and Chicago! I can’t wait! Traveling is one of my favorite things to do.
Resolution #2: Run a Half Marathon
In 2016 I learned a lot about myself. I learned to fully love who I am and not give a crap about what anyone else thinks. We spend so much time and energy focusing on fitting a certain size or mold from what society says we should be. I learned that being healthy is better than fitting into a size 0. I don’t have a weight loss goal. Instead this year I want to love myself.
Resolution #3: Grow my Blog & Reach
Blogging has given me such a creative outlet. I’ve been able to work with some incredible brands and photographers in 2016. I want to thank every single person who has supported this crazy dream of mine. Thank you for every like, comment, email and DM. They mean more than you’ll know. I can’t wait for what 2017 brings!
Here’s to 2017! Let’s do this!
