I’ve always wanted to throw my own Halloween party equipped with all of the best Pinterest finds. I am by no means am an expert in this field, but I love Halloween! 😉 I did this all myself, within a budget and you can too!
Of course, the entrance is the most important part. I loved all of these fun decorations I found at Walmart, Target, the Dollar Tree and D.I. When you need something large to fill your walls, these DIY bats are the perfect fix! I cut mine from a template I found on Pinterest out of a $1 poster board. Easy peasy and you can keep them for years to come!
On a budget, chalk drawings were the perfect solution! Snag some tape, lay a body down and trace around it! 🙂 Voila!
Next, was the photo booth. This can be created a million different ways, but I loved the easy streamers. Again, all bought from the Dollar Tree! (I am obsessed with that store during the holidays.)
I snagged a couple of costume accessories and cut out mustaches, lips and sunglasses for various props. This was one of my favorite parts to showcase everyone’s costumes. 🙂
I wanted to give guests motivation to dress in costume, so I made these trophies! I pinned a bunch of ideas and then added a little extra flare with these DIY banners. These were super easy to make. I found skeleton garland at Dollar Tree, spray painted each skeleton gold, and hot glued them to small wooden platforms at Michael’s. (You will need a skewer or wooden dowel to keep them straight.)
These were the giveaways. My mom has the best recipe for caramel corn. Maybe if you’re lucky I’ll post it later! 🙂
I had to showcase each couple’s costumes and the winner of each trophy. The winner of most creative goes to….Batman and Robin!
The cutest halftime couple eva goes to…left shark and Katy Perry! I slaved on this costume haha and it was so worth it to see Andy in his plush shark fin headband.
The best couple goes to…Flynn Ryder and Rapunzel!
And last but not least…the best look-a-like costume goes to…Larry the Cable Guy!
After soup, bread bowls and cake, we ended the night with a haunted house! Happy Birthday babe! 26 never looked to good. 🙂
What’s the best Halloween party you’ve ever gone to? I’d love to hear your stories and share ideas! Well friends as the days of October dwindle, I cry myself to sleep. What will I do without my spooky spider webs, jack-o-lanterns and potions?! Live it up this week and happy haunting!
